SYNCC Courses Terms & Conditions
Applies to: All SYNCC courses, workshops, bootcamps, online sessions, and in-person events.
1) Agreement
By submitting a registration form and/or attending any SYNCC course (online or in person), you agree to these Terms.
2) Eligibility (including under 18)
If you are under 18, you must have a parent/guardian consent to register and to be recorded/photographed where applicable. SYNCC may require written guardian approval before allowing attendance or featuring recordings.
3) Course access & attendance
Access details (location/links) are shared via email/WhatsApp/other channels you provide. SYNCC may update schedules, instructors, or content when needed.
4) Code of conduct
You must behave respectfully and avoid harassment, disruption, cheating, or misuse of materials. SYNCC may remove participants without refund (if paid) or revoke access/certificates for serious violations.
5) Certificates
Certificates (if offered) may depend on attendance, assignments, and/or passing criteria defined for the course.
6) Intellectual property
All course materials are owned by SYNCC or its licensors, including: slides, recordings, lesson plans, exercises, templates, designs, branding, and any distributed files ("Content"). You may use Content for personal learning only. You may not: • Record, copy, resell, publish, share, or redistribute Content • Upload Content to public platforms or groups • Use Content commercially unless SYNCC gives written permission.
7) Participant submissions
If you submit projects, assignments, feedback, questions, chat messages, or showcase work during the course ("Submissions"), you keep ownership of your original work, but you grant SYNCC a royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, display, and share your Submissions for: • Education and internal training • Course improvement • Community showcasing, marketing, and reporting unless you explicitly request "do not showcase" in writing before sharing.
8) Recording, photography, and media release
SYNCC may record or capture photos/videos/audio during sessions (online or in person), including your voice, image, and participation (e.g., Q&A, group activities, chat). By registering and/or attending, you consent to being recorded and to SYNCC using these materials for: • Educational content • Social media posts • Marketing, promotions, and documentation across platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and SYNCC's website. Opt-out: If you do not want to appear, contact hr@syncc.org before the session. We'll make reasonable efforts (e.g., seating, camera zones, name display settings), but we can't guarantee full removal from group shots/live interactions. Removal requests: You may request removal of a specific post/clip; SYNCC will review and make reasonable efforts where feasible (especially for minors).
9) Privacy
Your personal data is handled under the SYNCC Courses Privacy Policy (below).
10) Safety & liability
You attend at your own risk. SYNCC isn't responsible for personal items, injuries, connectivity issues, or third-party platform outages, to the extent allowed by law.
11) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Jordan, unless a mandatory local rule applies.

SYNCC Courses Privacy Policy
1) Who controls your data

2) What we collect
Depending on the course, we may collect: • Identity/contact: name, email, phone, age range (and guardian contact if under 18) • Registration details: chosen course, availability, experience level, university/company (optional) • Attendance & performance: check-ins, completion, assignments, certificate status • Communications: messages, feedback, support requests • Media: photos/videos/audio recordings of sessions and events • Technical data for online sessions: IP address, device info, session logs (via providers)
3) Why we use it
We use data to: • Register you, manage attendance, and deliver the course • Communicate updates and logistics • Issue certificates (if applicable) • Improve content and teaching quality • Keep community safety (moderation, incident handling) • Create and publish educational/marketing content (recordings/photos), as described in the Terms
4) Legal basis
We process your data based on: • Consent (especially for recordings/media use and optional marketing) • Legitimate interests (running courses, improving quality, community safety) • Contract/steps before a contract (delivering a paid or structured program, if applicable) • Legal obligations (if required)
5) Sharing your data
We may share limited data with: • Instructors and internal organizers (only what they need) • Service providers used to run forms, email, storage, and online sessions, such as Google tools (e.g., Forms/Drive), Zoom (if used), and messaging tools used for logistics • Partners/sponsors only if clearly disclosed for that specific course We do not sell your data.
6) Where we store it & security
We store data in secure systems with access controls. No system is 100% secure, but we use reasonable safeguards (limited access, secure accounts, backups).
7) Retention
We keep data only as long as needed: • Registration/attendance records: typically 12–36 months • Certificates/verification logs: unless removal is required/approved • Recordings/media: as long as useful for education/marketing, unless removal is required/approved
8) Your rights
You can request: • Access to your data • Correction of inaccurate data • Deletion (when applicable) • Restriction/objection (when applicable) • Withdraw consent (future use) for marketing/media To request: email hr@syncc.org.
9) Children/minors
If a participant is under 18, we may require guardian consent. We take extra care with publishing identifiable media of minors and will prioritize removal requests.
10) Updates
We may update this policy. The latest version is posted on this page.
